8 to 10 months from when the application is submitted until approval

Investment

$450,000 minimum financial investment (investment of EUR 250,000 and a donation of EUR 200,000 to the nation)

Family Eligibility

You can include your spouse, children up to the age of 18, and financially dependent children of any age.

The Benefits of Montenegro Citizenship by Investment program:

• Visa-free access or visa-on-arrival to 124 destinations, including the European Schengen Area, Russia, and Turkiye
• Citizenship in a country that has been declared an EU candidate
• Development project investment that a renowned hotel brand manages
• Citizenship in a multinational and multilingual European community that enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate, beautiful scenery, and a low cost of living
• Holders of a Montenegro passport can apply for an E2 business visa to the US

Eligibility Requirements:

• There are two options to select from to qualify to be eligible for the Montenegro Citizenship by Investment:
  • An investment of EUR 450,000 to development projects in the capital of Podgorica or in the coastal regions
  • An investment of EUR 250,000 to development projects in northern or central Montenegro, excluding Podgorica
• In addition, there is a government fee of EUR 200,000 per application. This contribution will be directed to a special fund for the advancement of underdeveloped areas (EUR 100,000) and towards the Innovation Fund of Montenegro (EUR 100,000).
